Students admitted to the Ph.D. programme are required to pass a few courses recommended by the Department in the first year and have to face a comprehensive viva at the end of the 1st year. Only those candidates who qualify in the viva are eligible to continue their registration in the Ph.D programme of the department. They are also expected to take part in the weekly Colloquium / Seminar of the department.
